This sculpture reflects times when I'm finally able to go home from college. Since I get there before my sister wakes, I always startle her awake in her bed as a surprise. The yellow reflects both the color of her room and the warm joy I have at being able to return home again. The wood represents the many years we've grown up with one another. The gel medium is the glue, representing our bond.
